Meran and Val Passiria/Passeiertal – your holiday paradise
Urban vibes meet nature’s embrace.
Empress Sisi, Til Schweiger, and Thomas Gottschalk all recognised the magic: a holiday in Meran truly revitalises the body and spirit. In the Alpine-Mediterranean setting of Meran or untouched Val Passiria/Passeiertal, rejuvenation comes effortlessly. Whether your passion lies in sports, culture, culinary adventures, or local traditions, both Meran and Val Passiria/Passeiertal promise unparalleled value and experiences.
Between Alpine pastures and palm trees in the spa town of Meran
Meran is filled with an inimitable energy. The arcades bustle with activity, while visitors soak up the dolce vita ambience on the sun-drenched terraces. The Mediterranean flair in this Alpine town creates a very special atmosphere. Dive in to discover what the spa town has in store for you.
A stroll through the spa town
Take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque alleys of the spa town and admire the historic houses with their romantic bay windows and the colourful Mediterranean flora. After a shopping spree, treat yourself to a wonderfully cool Aperol Spritz or a creamy cappuccino.
A helicopter tour
Want a bird’s eye view of the world? A helicopter tour with our partner Heli-Austria makes this possible. And experiencing the Dolomites up close and personal is even more impressive. We offer this experience on a helicopter tour with our partner DOLOmagic – including wine tasting, fun at a mountain hut, and hiking through the mountain giants.
Hikes
At Hotel | Chalet Das Alpenschlössel, we regularly organise a range of hikes in summer. For families with children, for example, we offer adventure hikes to Merano/Meran 2000, with its large outdoor playground, petting zoo, and summer toboggan run.
Festivals in Meran
Autumn is a time of colourful natural landscapes, tranquillity... and fantastic festivals! In autumn, Meran hosts the annual Grape Festival with its spectacular parade, as well as the Meran Wine Festival for true wine lovers and connoisseurs, and the Grand Prix of Meran, one of the most important horse races in Europe.
A visit to the Christmas market
The festive hum of pre-Christmas activities resonates through the glowingly illuminated streets and squares. The scents of cinnamon and orange fill the cold winter air. A wander through Meran’s Christmas market instils in you the genuine spirit of the season – heartfelt emotions deepen, smiles expand. Local artisans proudly display their handmade crafts and classic delicacies. The little ones can have fun on the ice-skating rink and the children’s carousel.
Krampus Run
Eerie masks, mystical smoke, and atmospheric lights – during the Krampus Run, usually held on 5 December, the “Tuifl” (devils) parade through villages and towns, making for a strangely beautiful experience. The scary characters also come to visit us at the Quellenhof Resort.
Skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking, and more
In winter, Meran and Environs is transformed into a wonderland. Delve into its pristine beauty, whether on a snowshoe excursion or gliding down perfectly groomed ski slopes. Close to our hotel, you will find the ski areas of Plan/Pfelders, Racines/Ratschings, Merano/Meran 2000, and Schwemmalm.
